Trainee Solicitor
Training Contract Overview
Accutrainee offers a unique route to qualification where trainees are seconded to in-house teams and private practice firms with secondment opportunities starting throughout the year.
Accutrainee, as your training establishment, will continually monitor and assess both the work you are conducting, as well as your development throughout your training contract.
Our Clients include FTSE 100 organisations, global investment banks and UK & US law firms ranging from large City firms to small niche practices. Your training contract is designed around you and we focus on tailoring your training contract around your preferences both in terms of practice areas and type of organisation. The majority of secondments are within corporate and commercial practice areas with some of our most popular secondments in media, trade finance, privacy, fraud, commercial litigation and financial services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Depending on your secondments and training plan you may undertake a mix of contentious and non-contentious work. Trainees will have opportunities to develop different practice skills and gain the valuable experience needed to prepare them for qualification.
What we do know is that each and every one of our trainees receives high levels of responsibility as they are seconded only when there is a genuine need for their help in the team. Our trainees need to be ready to hit the ground running and adapt quickly to become valuable members of the teams they work in knowing they can rely on an enhanced support system as well as mentoring to guide them every step of the way.

- A-Level (or equivalent)
- Qualifying law degree or GDL (please apply to us towards the end of your LLB/GDL)
- LPC (you can apply to us even if you haven’t completed the LPC)
Whilst we look for a high standard of academic achievement, we do consider mitigating circumstances. If you have a 2.2 degree or lower A-Level grades, we still welcome your application but you must be able to demonstrate academic excellence.

We are looking for all-round candidates with strong intellectual, analytical and problem solving skills, good communication and organisational skills with the ability to demonstrate resilience, commercial awareness, team work, a passion for law and dedication to succeed.
We welcome applications from Law graduates, anyone completing the GDL or LPC, experienced paralegals and career changers.
