Accutrainee Overview

Accutrainee works with many in-house legal teams to deliver top quality junior resources in line with their business needs. Our clients include FTSE 100 organisations, global investment banks and UK & US law firms ranging from large City firms to small niche practices. We are hiring for a top regional law firm.

The successful candidate will form part of a small collegiate and supportive disputes team that punches well above its weight where commercial innovation is actively encouraged.

 Main duties and responsibilities

This is an exciting role for an ambitious Disputes Solicitor with a track record in working on complex, high value commercial, construction and regulatory disputes.

This firms 'Disputes team' takes on cases of disproportionately high value, often referred by City firms. This means a varied caseload of claims, including: directors/shareholder disputes, injunctions, banking and financial services claims and breach of warranty claims, as well as contentious and non-contentious construction disputes and regulatory matters.

 1.     Assisting our senior lawyers with specific tasks on significant, complex cases:

2.     Managing a small portfolio of your own cases of lower value;

3.     Dealing with clients, colleagues and counsel on a daily basis;

4.     Assisting in the team’s various marketing efforts with a view to building your own reputation within the local market.

 Requirements

  • Has 2-4 years’ PQE with a good track record of working on complex disputes;
  • Has experience of working in a litigation department in a reputable, commercial law firm;
  • Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills, a collegiate approach and an ability to form strong relationships with colleagues and clients alike;
  • Has an ability to prioritise workloads whilst remaining resilient under pressure and competing demands;
  • Is a self-starter, motivated to take on new challenges and be capable of working to deadlines;
  • Has a positive “can-do” attitude;
  • Possesses strong communication skills, a flexible approach and a willingness and desire to accelerate their career through a varied, complex and high value case load.
