In-House Legal Counsel – Commercial
London | 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Accuflex is supporting a leading international corporate travel and event management business in the appointment of a commercially astute Legal Counsel on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor (circa 2+ PQE preferred) looking to step into a broad in-house commercial role within a fast-paced, international environment.
The Opportunity
Our client operates globally at the intersection of travel, technology and corporate services. With the majority of legal work handled internally, this role offers genuine breadth and hands-on responsibility from day one.
Reporting into the Director of Legal, you will support the business across a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters.
This is a role for someone confident, pragmatic and comfortable operating in a dynamic business.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including:
Supplier and service agreements
Customer agreements
NDAs and templates
IT and software agreements
Addendums and renewals
Lead client-facing negotiations and explain contractual positions clearly and commercially
Manage agreements through to execution, including internal approvals
Advise global offices on regulatory and compliance matters
Provide guidance on data protection within commercial agreements
Support due diligence projects and new ventures
Assist on insurance management and sanctions compliance matters
Monitor regulatory developments affecting the sector
About You
We are looking for a commercially focused lawyer who:
Has strong commercial contracts experience
Is confident negotiating directly with counterparties
Understands data protection within client-facing agreements
Can translate legal risk into practical business advice
Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Is pragmatic and calm under pressure
Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
Software / SaaS agreements
IP licensing
International commercial contracts
Travel, technology or services sectors
European language skills
Candidate Profile
England & Wales qualified Solicitor or employed Barrister
Circa 2+ PQE preferred (though experience level will be considered based on capability)
In-house experience desirable but not essential
Strong drafting and stakeholder management skills
