Accuflex has an opportunity for a qualified solicitor with Data Privacy & Data Protection experience to work for our client, a top law firm in London. 

Working with a highly experienced and well trained team you will be advising clients on privacy and data protection matters within a culture that heavily invests in its people.

Responsibilities

  • Legal Advice. Offering support, advice and guidance on privacy, data-sharing, transfer of data outside of the EU to broad range of clients.
  • Drafting and Negotiation. Drafting and advising on commercial contracts, complex data protection-related documentation such as data processing agreements and data transfer agreements, representative agreements and privacy impact assessments, including future-proofing for GDPR and Brexit.
  • Research and review. Be aware of legal trends and regulatory requirements to continually support clients needs.
  • Legal and contractual risk management. Identify, control and report on material legal and commercial risks.
  • Advice and support. Provide advice, support and training to colleagues relating to privacy and legal matters.

Experience

    • Qualified solicitor with at least 2+ years post qualification experience.
    • Strong understanding and expertise in UK and EU Privacy laws (Data Protection Directive, Directive 95/46/EC, Data protection Act 1998, Privacy & Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000).
    • Demonstrable experience identifying and managing contractual and legal risks.
    • Strong commercial awareness.
    • Excellent team player, personable, entrepreneurial and ambitious.
