Accuflex currently has a great opportunity for a Executive Conveyancer with commercial property experience to work for our client, an independent utilities company in Surrey.
They are offering a great base salary and benefits, plus fleixble working pattern with some home working available.
This is an opportunity to join their in-house legal team permanently, supporting and assisting on commercial property matters. Specifically, you will be providing advice on land rights as well as negotiating easements and wayleaves.
Experience and Skills
Prior commercial real estate experience is a must.
Negotiation of easements, wayleaves and land acquisition is highly desirable, but not essential.
Ability to use the Land Registry online platform and understand the land registry process requirements.
Experience with and understanding of land transfers and leases would be ideal.
Liaise with landlords/tenants to identify and secure the necessary land rights quickly and efficiently.
Be involved in major and minor gas and electricity schemes which are nationally significant.
Assess the risk of proposed amendments to deeds/leases.
Agree and draft amendments and propose mitigation.
Escalate for executive decisions on commercially sensitive sites. Proposing options and detailing risks.
Law Degree or GDL as a minimum.
Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (or working towards); or Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (or working towards).
